    "Remote" - Ai Weiwei's Mermaid Exchange at Expo 2010 Shanghai

    "Remote" is artist Ai Weiwei's installation at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. While Denmark's Little Mermaid is being displayed in the Danish pavilion at the Expo, its image is being re-created on an LED-screen in the Little Mermaids' original position on the Langelinie Promenade in Copenhagen, by way of surveillance technology. The realtime video transmission can be viewed throughout the entire duration of the Expo, which will conclude on 31 October 2010.
